Rowmark Ski Academy wrapped up a landmark year with six national ski championship titles plus three titles from an alumna. While the team saw successes and personal bests throughout the year in all disciplines and all age groups, the national championship titles are the icing on the cake. In 2016, Rowmark skiers have captured more championship titles than any other high school ski team in the country. "In my tenure as headmaster, I have never seen or heard of any ski academy with a comparable accomplishment," said Alan Sparrow, head of school.

Harnessing nature's most powerful forces, alpine ski racers seek the assistance of gravity and speed to barrel down to the bottom of the twisting and often icy racecourse while charging through gates with precision. Winning in this unforgiving sport, where racers are measured in hundredths of a second, often comes down to accuracy in balance and speed, the tweaking of minuscule muscles, and extreme mental focus in unpredictable course conditions.

The 2014-15 roster is deep, with 34 student athletes from numerous states and as far away as Italy and Australia. Todd Brickson, the Rowmark Ski Academy Director commented, "We couldn't be more excited about the team we have assembled and more importantly, how hard everyone has been working this summer and fall. We had excellent ski camps this summer at Mt. Hood and New Zealand, and we can't wait to get back on snow next week in Colorado before our daily training commences at Park City in early December. Some of our U18-21 athletes already have their first races of the season at the end of November in Colorado as well."
