After 34 years of service to Rowland Hall in capacities ranging from second-grade teacher to technology innovator, Brent Larsen is retiring. But don't worry, the beloved teacher whom Head of School Alan Sparrow describes as "quiet, compassionate, and caring," isn't going away altogether. Mr. Larsen will continue to support students as a tutor in Rowland Hall's Middle School.
The Varsity Baseball team turned more double plays this spring than they have in the previous five seasons combined. "That was huge," new Head Coach Mac Estrada said. "To see the progression of kids actually knowing what to do in certain situations, and having the quickness to be able to do it." And that's just one statistic that shows the team's momentum.
Rowmark Ski Academy is thrilled to announce junior Katie Hensien joins two Rowmark alumnae on the 2017-2018 US Alpine Ski Team. Katie Hensien is the youngest member of the national team to reach the C Team level designation. Rowmark alumnae Breezy Johnson '13 and Alice McKennis '07 are on the A Team, the highest level of the national team.
